Egress hinge - The Great Escape - the NEW hinge is nearly here.
Following customer feedback we will shortly be updating our egress hinge due to the general opinion that it is more important to open the fire-escape position first. We believe this makes perfect sense and should go some way towards satisfying local authority building controllers and FENSA inspectors.
Featuring instantly recognisabel green end-caps, the hinge is produced from high quality stainless steel, tested to 20,000 cycles and backed by a 10 year guarantee. Depending on opening sash size, the new hinge allows for full compliance with Part B Building Regulations for fire escape and meets the requirements of BS 8213.
